Do you replace my GP or specialist?

No. ELIA LMC does not replace your GP or specialist. Our services are designed to complement your existing medical care. We encourage shared care and communication with your healthcare team where appropriate.

Can lifestyle medicine help with chronic conditions like diabetes?

Lifestyle medicine focuses on evidence-informed strategies that may support overall health and wellbeing. It is not a substitute for medical treatment. Outcomes vary between individuals, and we do not guarantee specific clinical results.

Do you help people after breast cancer treatment?

Yes. We provide lifestyle and survivorship support for people during and after breast cancer treatment. This may include support for fatigue, routine changes, movement, sleep and overall wellbeing.

Is health coaching the same as personal training or diet plans?

No. Health coaching focuses on behaviour change, goal setting and long-term habit development. It does not involve prescribing exercise programs or meal plans, but rather supports sustainable lifestyle changes guided by clinical principles.

Are appointments available via telehealth?

Yes. We offer both in-person appointments at our Wahroonga clinic and telehealth consultations are availale for some services for patients across Sydney and NSW.

Can lifestyle changes reduce my need for medication?

Medication decisions are made by your prescribing doctor. Lifestyle support may help improve health markers for some individuals, but we do not make claims about medication reduction.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on individual goals and circumstances. Some patients attend for short-term guidance, while others prefer ongoing support.

What conditions do you commonly support?

We commonly work with individuals managing diabetes, metabolic health concerns, breast cancer recovery, menopause-related changes and general wellbeing challenges.
